Wow Liz -- this is an awesome goal list for '09...!
I'm a planner, goal-setter and list-maker as well; definitely helps us keep on track for the long term. Sometimes I get so caught up in the day-to-day I forget about the why I was doing all that "b…
It is difficult for me to recall a time when, as a child, I was NOT running off to some physical activity or outdoor hobby. Luckily, I was blessed with a supportive family who encouraged me to try new things. My pursuits were varied, but this allowed me to develop skills in many areas and created the foundation for a lifetime of healthy living.
The same encouragement also gave me the ‘push’ to enter several youth-ambassador pageants. This led to many opportunities such as modelling; corporate promotions; as well as instructing classes for pre-teen girls learning about poise, nutrition, health, and grooming. In helping these young women, I truly came to value the power of self-confidence. The famous Italian actress Sophia Loren once said that “Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.” I couldn’t agree more!
I have always loved being in the spotlight and have been influenced a great deal by training in the arts -- dance and movement, music, textile arts, creative writing and communication. I continue to figure skate, and love to perform on ANY stage! Drawing these passions together with my varied athletic background has led me to the world of fitness, figure & bodybuilding.....and to Team Tight Curves!
What I like to do?
Other than the performance-based activities mentioned above, I'm your typical Canadian "winter girl" and love to downhill ski or snowboard and -- you guessed it -- watch HOCKEY....!!!!
I enjoy helping out with several of our family businesses; and I also appreciate ever second of 'cuddle time' that I can squeeze in with my two little lapdogs, Jiffy and Nimh.
What is your favorite body part?
Shoulders, baby!
What frustrates you more than anything?
Excuses. And people that make them.
What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?
One-arm dumbell snatch -- yayy, olympic lifting.
How many times a day do you eat?
5 or 6 meals -- YUM!
How many times a week do you train?
3 Days training; 1 rest day; 2 Days training; 1 rest day.

Hey Jacqueline! BTW-I LOVE your name:) Thanks for stopping by my page and commenting. I too love meeting and connecting with fellow fitness enthusiasts. Sadly, my work environment is pretty negative so I LOVE getting around other positive fitness minded people.
As far as "what's next" for me, I am transitioning from Figure to Bikini and debuting that transition at the Jr. USA in May. I am excited and nervous. It will be my first National Level show.
As far as the fitness modeling goes, I live in a pretty small Indiana town so finding good, talented photographers that can pick up where Terry left off is not an easy feat. Thus, Terry and I have been collaborating and I hope to shoot again with him a few more times. At that point, I will determine, with Terry's guidance, what my next step is. Thanks for asking!
So, how about with you? I know you said that you were moving to the states soon...when will that be?
What's your next steps in the modeling and competiton world?
Hi Jacqueline,
I am new to the Tight Curves Team as of yesterday. I was browsing profiles of other members and did a double take because I recognized you from doing the Arnold Fitness Fashion Show last year. Small world! You look great!
I will be there, or at least I plan on it. We will have to try and say hi even though that weekend is insane busy. It would be nice to see you again and catch up!
