I have always been into working out and trying to stay fit but I didn't discover my true passion for it until January of this year. I did something as simple as picking up an Oxygen magazine at the airport for a flight home to see my family and it truly transformed my life. I guess I was looking for some sort of motivation and that was definitely it. I read the magazine 3 or 4 times over during the flight....and re-read it over and over while I was home. I made a commitment to dedicate my life to being and STAYING fit (in the gym AND the kitchen) and once I got back here to Las Vegas I started back at the gym and I went 6 days a week for 4 months straight along with cleaning up my diet. Within those months not only did I SEE drastic changes but I FELT them. I had so much more energy, I was happier, and MUCH more confident. I continued training and it has now not only become something that I do, but part of who I am.
I had the opportunity to work at the Tight Curves booth at the Olympia this year and it was the inspiration and the motivation that I needed to keep me going and to get me on stage one day soon! I am in the process of putting on more muscle everywhere. I hope to compete within the next 6 months in Bikini and work up to Figure. I also plan on getting certified as a personal trainer and nutritionist so that I can help other people change their lives the way that I changed mine.
