- About me?
- I am a wife, personal trainer and NPC figure competitor. I was first introduced and inspired with strength training while taking a class at Old Dominion University. The transformation of my physique changed my life. Exercise and weight training became an avenue for stress release and a part of my everyday life. In 2008 after years of contemplation I entered my first NPC figure competition, placing which qualified me for the 2009 Nationals. With a degree in finance and public speaking my background is in investments and finance. The time spent training and the journey to the stage convinced me to change careers and pursue my passion in the gym. I am a certified personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise, and my goal is to assist those wishing to live a fit lifestyle, achieve their dreams and goals. I am currently pursuing a certification as a Youth Fitness Trainer. It is my dream to educate and empower young women. I want to elevate their self esteem and improve their health and well being.
I have competed in 6 NPC figure competitions this season, with the most recent the NPC Nationals in November. I also ran the Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon in Virginia Beach, VA in Sept, this year was my 5th year in this race and a personal record.... 2 weeks after competing in the East Coast Classic and 2 weeks before the Lenda Murray in Norfolk, VA.
Mission Statement:
My mission is to empower my clients to take charge of their life, to live healthy and fit. As well as give my clients the tools necessary to obtain their goals and succeed.
- What I like to do?
- Figure competitions, surfing, strength training, Crossfit, continuing my education, and sitting on the beach with my toes in the sand.
- What is your favorite body part?
- Back
- If you found a million dollars, what would you do with it?
- I would give half away to charities that educate and promote heath and fitness for children. Invest the rest and live the life I have now. Take my husband on a vacation.
- What frustrates you more than anything?
- People that have the tools and abilities to better their lives but do nothing.
- What is your favorite and least favorite exercise?
- Favorite exercise push ups. Least favorite exercise good mornings.
- How many times a day do you eat?
- 5-6
- How many times a week do you train?
- 5 in season, 3-4 off season
- Do you have a story you want to share?
- Exercise has helped me in living with my mental illness. I would like to share my story with others like me, because there is hope.
